My Civic has been a great car, but after tens of thousands of miles the little things were wearing me out.  The keys barely worked, the interior was falling apart, the suspension needed replacing, etc.  I will definitely miss the 30 mpg in town, 35+ mpg freeway, as well as the small size.

I shopped around for awhile and finally settled on the VW Rabbit.  It’s only rated at 22/29 mpg, but it’s a neat little car.  Lots of power and lots of neat features, but mostly I’m looking forward to being able to drive on the freeway with the windows up (A/C) and actually hear music or talk to people.  😀  And it’s a hatchback, so I still retain my ‘work truck’.
